We are looking for 20 households to get involved in a project that will give householders a personalised guide to retrofitting their home.
Thanks to funding from Mid Devon District Council through our joint Energy Boost Mid Devon project, residents across Mid Devon can now access free retrofit advice from ECOE Advice to make their homes more energy-efficient, healthier, and cheaper to run.

What is Retrofit?
Retrofit in a household means upgrading older, inefficient homes with modern energy-saving measures—such as improved insulation and efficient heating systems—to reduce energy waste and lower bills. By tackling poor energy performance, retrofitting helps families who struggle to afford adequate heating enjoy warmer, healthier living conditions, while also cutting carbon emissions.

Participants could receive:
• Thermal imaging to spot where heat is escaping
• Borescope testing to check for hidden damp or mould inside walls
• Airtightness checks to identify draughts and improve comfort
• Clear, tailored advice on practical steps to cut energy use and reduce bills
